Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of Rescued.Click, including URL change tracking, 404 traffic tracking, alerts, and temporary redirect rescue features.
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between Rescued.Click (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the person or entity using the services (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”). If you use the services for an agency, company, client, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
What Rescued.Click Does
Rescued.Click helps agencies and website operators add a domain, track URL
and sitemap changes, install 404.js on a site’s 404 page to capture
missing-page traffic, and create temporary redirect rules when live traffic is
reaching a missing URL.
Adding a domain does not redirect visitor traffic. Installing the 404 tracking script does not redirect visitor traffic. Redirects occur only when a redirect rule is created, configured, and enabled for a monitored site.
Accounts and Authorization
You must provide accurate account information, keep it current, and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by your employees, contractors, clients, and administrators.
You may use the services only for domains that you own, control, manage, or are legally authorized to monitor or configure. If you are an agency or service provider, you are responsible for obtaining required client authorizations, approvals, instructions, consents, and permissions.
Public URL History Follows
You may follow a public URL history report for a domain without claiming ownership of that site. A follow lets your account receive URL-history notifications and use customer-scoped API reads for that public report. A follow does not authorize private crawling, 404 tracking, redirect changes, client-site configuration, or ownership claims for that domain.
API Access and Tokens
API tokens are account credentials. You are responsible for keeping them secure, revoking tokens that are no longer needed, and ensuring that agents, scripts, and integrations using your tokens comply with these Terms. We may apply rate limits, endpoint limits, abuse controls, and token revocation to protect the services and keep the cost of doing business low.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- deciding which domains to add and monitor;
- deciding where and how to install the 404 tracking script;
- ensuring the script is installed only where appropriate;
- selecting and approving redirect source and destination URLs;
- notifying paid media, web, client-service, or other responsible teams;
- confirming that redirect destinations are lawful, accurate, live, and appropriate;
- updating campaign links, feeds, emails, ads, landing pages, sitemaps, and site redirects outside the services; and
- ensuring your use complies with contracts, platform rules, privacy laws, advertising rules, and client instructions.
Rescued.Click does not own or control Customer websites, campaigns, client relationships, ad accounts, landing pages, redirect destinations, or source traffic.
Customer Data
“Customer Data” includes domain configuration, sitemap information, crawl results, URL inventories, added and removed URLs, redirects, HTTP response codes, 404 traffic metadata, redirect rules, URL history follow data, notification preferences, API token metadata, alerts, and related operational logs submitted to or processed through the services.
As between the parties, Customer owns Customer Data. Customer grants Rescued.Click a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, and use Customer Data as necessary to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve the services; comply with law; prevent abuse; and enforce these Terms.
Customer represents that it has all rights, permissions, and legal bases necessary for Rescued.Click to process Customer Data as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
URL Change Tracking
When you add a domain, you authorize Rescued.Click to crawl, fetch, inspect, compare, and monitor that domain and related sitemaps, URLs, redirects, and HTTP response codes for the purpose of providing the services.
URL change tracking may identify added URLs, removed URLs, changed URLs, redirected URLs, missing URLs, response codes, sitemap changes, and possible replacement destinations. It may be incomplete or delayed, and we do not guarantee detection of every URL, redirect, status code, sitemap update, page removal, or site change.
404 Traffic Tracking Script
The 404 traffic tracking script is intended to be installed on a Customer site’s 404 or missing-page template. Do not intentionally install it on normal website pages unless we expressly support that configuration and you are legally authorized to do so.
Depending on the request and Customer configuration, the services may collect 404 traffic metadata such as requested URLs, paths, query strings, referrers, UTM values, timestamps, user agents, response status, source classifications, and operational logs.
You must not use the services to intentionally collect sensitive personal information, protected health information, financial account numbers, government identifiers, children’s data, passwords, authentication tokens, or other regulated or highly sensitive data. Because URLs, query strings, and referrers can contain personal information if configured that way, Customer is responsible for avoiding personal information and sensitive data in URLs and campaign parameters.
Temporary Redirects
Temporary redirects are optional and may route real website visitors from a missing URL to a destination URL selected by Customer. Before enabling a redirect, Customer should confirm that the source URL is missing, the destination URL is live and appropriate, the redirect will not mislead visitors, and Customer is authorized to enable it.
Rescued.Click may provide validation signals, such as whether a source URL or destination URL appears to return a particular HTTP status code. These signals are informational only. Customer remains responsible for final review and approval.
Redirect rules may be paused, disabled, archived, or marked for review when the services detect unsafe installation, unavailable destinations, changed conditions, or missing validation requirements. These safeguards are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed.
Alerts and Traffic Classification
The services may allow Customer to notify team members, clients, contractors, or other responsible parties about URL changes, 404 traffic, or temporary redirects. Customer is responsible for configuring alert recipients and ensuring it has permission to send operational notifications to them.
The services may classify traffic as paid, non-paid, direct, unknown, UTM-tagged, or otherwise categorized based on available signals such as UTM parameters, referrers, source rules, URLs, campaign patterns, and Customer configuration. Classification is inferred from available data and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Aggregated and De-Identified Data
Rescued.Click may create and use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data derived from use of the services for analytics, benchmarking, security, research, product improvement, and business purposes, provided it does not identify Customer, Customer’s clients, Customer users, or website visitors.
Billing and Plan Changes
Fees are described at checkout, in the dashboard, on an order form, or in a separate written agreement. Unless otherwise stated, URL change tracking and 404 traffic tracking may be offered at no charge, and temporary redirect features may be billed at $1 per enabled site per month.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. Customer authorizes Rescued.Click and its payment processor to charge applicable fees and taxes to the payment method on file. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in writing.
Acceptable Use
You may not use the services to:
- monitor, crawl, or configure domains without authorization;
- redirect visitors to unlawful, deceptive, harmful, malicious, phishing, infringing, offensive, or unauthorized content;
- collect sensitive personal information or regulated data through URLs, referrers, query strings, or the 404 script;
- interfere with websites, networks, systems, or third-party services;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or misuse the services except as permitted by law;
- bypass usage limits, security controls, or billing mechanisms;
- use the services to build a competing product; or
- violate advertising platform rules, privacy laws, anti-spam laws, consumer protection laws, or contractual obligations.
Third-Party Services
The services may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including hosting providers, database providers, payment processors, email providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, support tools, and notification tools. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Intellectual Property and Feedback
Rescued.Click and its licensors own the services, software, scripts, dashboards, documentation, designs, trademarks, logos, and related technology. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the services to Customer. If Customer provides feedback or suggestions, Customer grants Rescued.Click the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
Privacy and Data Processing
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information. If Customer Data includes personal information processed by Rescued.Click on Customer’s behalf, the Data Processing Addendum below applies and is incorporated into these Terms.
Security, Availability, and Beta Features
Rescued.Click will maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Customer Data. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat security measures.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update the services from time to time. The services may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, third-party failures, network issues, security incidents, force majeure events, or other causes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Beta, preview, experimental, or limited-release features may be incomplete, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time and are provided as is unless expressly stated otherwise.

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rescued.Click disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.
Rescued.Click does not warrant that:
- the services will detect every 404, URL change, redirect, campaign issue, or paid traffic source;
- traffic classification will be accurate;
- temporary redirects will prevent loss, spend waste, or visitor abandonment;
- alerts will always be delivered;
- validation or status checks will always detect that an issue is fixed;

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, lost goodwill, lost data, business interruption, campaign performance impact, advertising spend, SEO impact, analytics impact, or cost of substitute services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rescued.Click’s total liability arising out of or related to the services will not exceed the greater of amounts paid by Customer to Rescued.Click for the services during the three months before the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Indemnification
Customer will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rescued.Click from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to Customer Data, Customer websites, Customer configuration, temporary redirects, failure to obtain required authorization, violation of law or platform rules, or disputes between Customer and its clients, users, contractors, platforms, website visitors, or other third parties.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend access to the services or specific features if payment is overdue, Customer violates these Terms, Customer’s use creates security, legal, operational, reputational, or technical risk, Customer uses the services on unauthorized domains, Customer configures redirects to unsafe or unauthorized destinations, or suspension is needed to protect website visitors, customers, Rescued.Click, or third parties.
Either party may terminate these Terms if the other party materially breaches and fails to cure within 30 days after written notice, unless the breach cannot reasonably be cured. After termination, Customer’s right to use the services ends, and we may delete Customer Data after a reasonable period unless retention is required by law, security, dispute resolution, backup, or legitimate business needs.
Changes and General Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the services, by email, or by posting the updated Terms. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
Customer may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent, except to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets. No waiver is effective unless in writing. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
